Stop the pace

We had spent so much fun together in Cherating after being so long not meet each other. Alhamdulillah..i'm totally happy with this small and short gathering...and actually it is our 2nd outdoor team Anniversary. We managed to have 30 adults and 12 kids (termasuk infants).

How does it start with????
First invitation email posted by one of the kapla... takot gak takde response dari kawan2 sbb tempat nak dituju agak jauh dr kl...woooo..Cherating tuh! alamak....3jam drive tu baru bleh sampai.. Aku has been appointed to coordinate the event..to ensure the accommodation as per participants list name.. alamak susah gak ni...penin.. Nak gather kan semua org bukan keje senang dan to ensure masa ari kejadian semua ok... susah..

Task pertama: Accommodation (Rikki tpt nak dituju.)

Few places dah masuk..semua fully booked and kalu ada pon tak bleh nak cater for this group.. Almost 4hours we (3of us) spent time tp GAGAL..so kami beransur dan target adalah Pantai Beserah.. Before we moved to Pantai Beserah, we stopped at Cherating petrol station..nak minum2..makan2..lapau... And suddenly, one of us ternampak signboard chalet..wow!! petanda baek,...settle minum/makan..terus ke tpt ittue ~ RBR...

Jumpe tokey, tengok bilik..tgk rate..semua nampak ok..kawtim plak utk BBQ set-up..semua nampak bleh..so aku terus mtk RBR to blok 12 units of chalets for us... Malam tu gak aku wat deposit 50% to RBR and terus sent report to KL...

Saturday; 24th July 2010; 10am

Aku setat kete and meniggalkan KL. Together with me were, KY, my fiancée, and my PPM friend..he brought his anak buah.. I need to stop at Bentong to fetch my friend; Amy...makan2 kejap dan dlm jam 12.45pm kami gerak menuju kawasan yang nak "diserang". We arrived at RBR 2.30pm......

Bebudak laen slowly sampai...sikit2..dan paling last tiba di RBR adalah angah and wife..6.30pm.

Before that, as organizer kena la jamu "tetamu" saya semua ni..minum2 petang+ special dish dr Kerteh..... Settle makan2 semua beransur ke pantai..
Organizer managed utk mengompolkan semua anggota tentera; adults, mak2 buyung, ibu2, infants kat pantai..

Galah panjang dan maen balik selipar adalah 2 games yang bebudak ni maen.. settle tu baru ler memasing maen layang2, mandi laot..

Infants semua melepak ngan baeknya atas tikar yang disediakan oleh anak2 dara outdoor team ni.. Ibu2 nya pon sibok gak tompang sekaki kat atas tikar tu...

Mmg gegila fun! Semua enjoy giler..mana tak nyer..bukan selalu dapat jadi "kanak-kanak"...abis macam tak cukup tanah belari memain petang tu...

Around 7pm semua naek dan bersiap utk malam BBQ!!!!!

Tpt BBQ kena ubah secara tetiba sebab awan nye sudah sarat dengan air..takut tak menjadi, aku mtk utk bawak BBQ ke tpt yang ada bumbung...
Ni aku tak tau la..begambo je ker atau kekutan anggota yang ada malam tu utk bakar semua bahan makanan...Beratur beb nak menunggu daging kambing, ayam, sotong, ikan di bakar...anak2 pon dah kelaparan sgt tu sbb siang tadik dah memain tak hengat dunia....bapak2, abag2, akak2 tu pon perut memasing dah bebonyi sebenarnya tuh...tp semua control!!!!See....ni lagi pic yang menunjukan mereka "rajin" membuat kerja ketika ber"gathering"..ada camera ke..takde camera ke...mereka tetap meneruskan kerja...tahniah! Bravo....

malam tu settle agak lambat..mana tak nyer...settle makan, main game lagi..twister la, uno spin laa..teka2 itu la..teka ni laa..byk la..gamak jadik nyer tpt tu ngan bebudak nie...

Ahad; 25th July 2010

Wake-up!! wake -up...alamak...aku jadi organizer..kena carik breakfast. Ah lantak arr..nak mandi laot dulu! aku apa kisah!!! Gedebosh,..together with my sparing partner, and other friends..kitowang main kat laot..best dowh layan ombak!! rugi la beb sapa tak g trn pantai!

9.00am, dah siap dan puas mandi nak kena buat head count plak..kena beli brekafast. Nasib la kowang..aku belikan nasi lemak + air tea-O je..kui..kui..kui...kire ok pe...aku beli, aku tak claim okay..kowang makan je laa....

Durian keluar lagi! pergh, tak paham aku..breakfast makan ngan durian..ada sekor minah ni siap jadikan ulam tuh! aku "suspek" laaa..ko mmg hebat dayang!!!!
Now, it's time to bid goodbye to all..after 1 day spent time together, laugh together..now we need to make a move..balik KL semua..alamak..sedey laaaaaaa..rasa macam kejap sgt! macam tak puas..nak wat macam mana kan...tp ni la adat @ hukum nya...dah jumpa kena pisah laaaa....We left RBR at 12.30pm..and straight to Kemaman for lunch.. had simple lunch together and at 2.30pm semua beransur pulang ke tpt masing2... I really hope to have same event next year!!! and i believe that my dear bro and his family will not be able to join us (he will joining other company in middle east) and kak tj pon akan ke Saudi mengikut our tuan penasihat..alahai....sedey.. but surely, next year, will have more babies!!! and yang anak2 infants semua dah besar sket............

Thanks to all for your time..i'll miss much this moment!! Hope we will meet again. Apa yang salah silap, telebey, terkurang..mohon maaf yer!!!! Thank!!! Thanks!!! Thanks!!!!

Dpt shopping brg2 murah kat Megamall..mmg best! wa rembat 3 elai seluar..rm100..pergh...kalu kl ni mau RM300 leeby..

so looking forward to come again..hope ada rezeki lagi nak ziarah my family in Kuantan! c u again!

sekali lagi aku kena menompang kat umah Cgu..alamak ni sume sbb aku tak dpt bilik kat Hyatt Regency....amat kesian. 1pm aku sampai..aku takde bilik.

"En. check in 18th July 2010 kalu kite tgk dr list ni laaa...."

Takpe laa...aku g melepak kat bandar, buat keje dengan kopi mahal aku... tetiba bila dtg kat kete ada kompaun dr MPK...kena saman sbb aku takde parking "gores dan menang"...mmg kesian..

Aku kol cgu mintak direction to MPK..sembang2 then cgu tanye aku lepak mana mlm ni..aku rasa cgu tau aku tak dpt bilik dr status FB aku..ohoho...tak bleh nak tipu; aku kena ckp yang betol je la..aku takde bilik..aku try rikki Hotel laen, tp semua fully booked. Aku sms cgu aku akan sampai umah..tompang tido malam ni..tp lewat malam la aku sampai..

Aku agak segan la nak melepak umah cgu..aku segan ngan kak Zu..kenal mmg kenal..tp aku sgt segan ngan Cgu and his wife ni..so aku decided sampai umah cgu lewat mlm...dlm kol 11pm. Aku settlekan keje semua..buat office work aku yang melambak kat kedai kopi mahal smpi aku rasa bebudak tu pon dah bebulu tgk aku kat situ,..mana tak nyer, dr petang sampai ke malam.. aha..

@ 11pm, aku sampai..cgu dah tunggu..kak zu pon dah tunggu. Kak zu sibok menyediakan tpt aku nak tido..macam biasa..depan TV...oyes..i like.. aku sembang2 sampai le mata aku dah tak larat nak bukak.....

@1am..aku tido..tuan umah tak tido lagi ni....kuwang ajo tol aku ni...teruk arr...

Next morning; 18th July 2010; 6.45am

Cgu dah besiap...cgu keje dowl..aku elok tido lagi...mmg kuwang ajo aku ni..dah la tido umah owang..tido tak seda2..

aku tejage dr tido pon sbb cgu bukak grill pintu..ops..cgu dah nak g keje...aku bangun je laaa..

Salam cgu..cgu bla g keje.. Aku teringat lagi, macam ni la aku kecik2 dulu..bapak aku nak g keje, ngan muka baru bangun tido, jumpa bapak aku, cium tangan bapak..bapak g keje..cam tu la aku pagi tu...huhahah..

Anyway; thanks to cgu and Kak zu yang sudi menompangkan aku tido semalaman kat umah... THANKS...THANKS...THANKS...

Myself, Cgu Haron and Kak Yam... 3 of us.. Went to Cherating to find chalets for my outdoor team. ehehe.. a lot of menda yang aku tak penah pikir, aku jumpa arini..UNEXPECTED la bang..

I thought aku nagn cgu je g rikki, tp tetibe tejumpa plak ngan Kak Yam kat lokasi...

alang2 dah jumpa, aku hangkot je laa....

Lokasi pertama (semua chalets) tak menjadi pilihan kerana:

1. Factor harga yang mahal..baek aku hantar bebudak ni masuk bilik Hotel!

2. Keadaan nya yang bukan utk KOMA..tak sesuai.."coconut inn"????

3. Kami ada campers..so susah sikit...

so; we decided to rikki kat tmpt laen..but still pantai Cherating gak...

1. Kami dapat harga yang best

2. Bilik nya besar

3. Depa sediakan BBQ set utk kami...

so kami pilih yang no2; Riverside Beach Resort pilihan kami...i padi deposit payment to the resot..so harap sume settle laa..

Nomad Eco-Challenge; Batu Dam, Batu Caves, Selangor

My partner and i decided to join the challenge and surprisingly he really looking forward to take part in this event. Great combination; young buddy with "experience man".

I have to prepare all the equipments since my partner stay far away from KL. I just told him to prepare his MTB and medical kit for our team. I try my best to get all the harness, etc. At the same time, i bought my new MTB! OMG...i never go for off-road cycling and this will be my first MTB activity.

3rd July 2010; @Batu Dam; we checked our equipments as instructed by the organizer. We did simple abseiling checking, kayak test and it was end with short briefing by the organizer.

Pagi Ahad, semua dah ready..my partner and i took very light breakfast; a cup of tea and 2 slices of bread..it is enough for 1 whole day event? I don't know...but in our bag, we brought some light food..

Started with MTB..we need to cycle around Batu Dam area and turn back to starting point. Then we started to cycle in the HUTAN...off-road dude! I explore my first experience..ehehe.. My partner was at the back together with other participant. Tunggu la kejap..since aku partner dia..so tak elok aku meninggalkan partner aku sorang2 kat belakang... He shouted to me; "daus GO!...pegi dulu". Apa lagi, aku terus kayuh and push myself to the limit, try to get back to the front.... cycle.cycle.cycle. up, down, mud, etc...haiyo. Luckily, we only need to go to 1 loop only, another 2 route has been cancelled by organizer due to safety reason.

I put my bicycle aside..wait for my partner and after 15minutes, he arrived with his smile.. Let's go Daus.. "i'll go first, you are stronger than me..you will catch me kejap lagi".... and he left me behind.

Before i arrived at our first CP, we did our downhill, it was tough for me. I felt few times..alamak...bit difficult for me. As new cyclist, beginner.. i realized that i need to learn a lot if i really want to be good MTB rider.

At 2nd CP2,we took some isotonic drink. Huh..best giler beb...dah la kepenatan..dapat plak isotonic drink yang sejuk...mmg best. We shoot to Batu Caves! UPHILL....too high. I need to push myself lagi...ehehe... i did not really bother my partner since i believe he is better and stronger than me... and yes, he did it..He managed to climb the stiff hill without any problem. And he smiled to us.

At Batu Cave; we did caving and jungle tracking before we need to run at different path; 9a and 9B. My partner ran to 9a and i ran to 9b. My abseiling was not very high; 30m only but he need to abseil down from 100m height.

We met again at the Batu Cave starting point, and i need to do wall climbing.

Done and we cycled back to Batu Dam and straight to Taman Rekreasi Ulu Yam. Up and down under the sun..adoiii..panas nyer..Letih dah ni. We arrived at Taman Rekreasi at 2pm..

Now we need to run back to Batu Dam. Left the bicycle to the organizer... i thought we can ran but i need to say NO because my partner condition was not really good. Aku paham, at his age, his stamina is slightly kurang compared to me. We walked all the way but sometimes we ran.

My partner help me to "pow" rokok dr one of the campers yang kitowang jumpa kat tepi sungai...ehehehe...ran..ran..ran.... sampai la kat Batu Dam.

Start our kayak..Row, row, row the boat...tp kejap ke kiri..kejap ke kanan... My partner bit marah sekarang...but aku cuba kasi dia cool laa...we need to find 2 passwords..and i think we got both.

At the end, after 8hrs 16min we finish the race.

Thanks to my partner. I really thanks to you and apology if i did any wrong sepanjang 8jam 16min dlm event ni... Big salute to my partner; Cgu!
